The rest of Umbria also offers things to do for anyone wishing to celebrate love – on Valentine’s Day<\/strong> or any other day of the year – there are truly many options and anyone especially intending to experience Todi\u00a0in a truly romantic way, here is a list of some of the most charming places to visit.<\/p>\n

Todi and its most charming and romantic sights<\/strong><\/p>\n

The city of Todi offers plenty of cosy and irresistibly romantic views and sights. These undoubtedly include\u00a0the Oberdan Gardens<\/strong>, with its one-of-a-kind atmosphere and exclusive and breathtaking view of the valley and part of the historical centre.<\/p>\n

Impossible not to mention the Nido dell\u2019Aquila<\/strong> (Eagle\u2019s Nest) complex, possibly the city’s most romantic location, with its terrace perched on the hill and framed by the other precious architecture of the former monastery. Now known as the Nido dell\u2019Aquila Theatre, with its entrance from this very terrace, it is also the city’s movie theatre.<\/p>\n

The entire Lower Valley<\/strong>, is particularly cosy and charming, the ideal place for lovers to take an unforgettable stroll.<\/p>\n

Of the most spectacular sights is the San Fortunato Bell Tower<\/strong>, offering one of the most surprising and exclusive views of the city centre, contending the top position in terms of uniqueness and beauty only with the view from the Palazzo Vescovile (the Bishop’s Palace)\u00a0on the opposite side of the acropolis.<\/p>\n

Another view that one must enjoy is from Piazza Garibaldi<\/strong>, the ideal spot for a break: the typically Umbrian scenery that one can take in from here is truly enchanting.<\/p>\n

Other sights, less known but nevertheless strategic for admiring the surrounding panorama, include the street named viuzza di San Lorenzo<\/strong>, which also peaks on the characteristic piazzetta del Montarone, as well as Largo del Bastione, cosy and with a view of the Umbrian valley, stretching as far as the eye can see.<\/p>\n

There is almost no need to say it, but one of the most romantic and charming sights in Todi is Piazza del Popolo, amazing during the day and even more magical at night, thanks to the new lighting, recently inaugurated.<\/p>\n
