The province of Perugia features the Tibetan Suspension Bridge of Sellano: a must for people who wish to experience an adrenaline rush immersed in nature. This spectacular bridge located between Sellano and the village of Montesanto, is 517 metres long, 175 metres above the Vigi river valley: The Sellano bridge is therefore one of the highest Tibetan bridges in Europe. The bridge is located in the centre of the village of Sellano, next to the old Town Hall, and is only accessible on foot. One must remember that the bridge is one-way, staring from Sellano and ending in Montesanto.

The Tibetan bridge of Sellano is an acrobatic suspended route that requires good health and no fear of heights. Visitors are harnessed and must follow the instructions carefully to ensure their safety. 

Experience and Safety

Before crossing the bridge visitors put on technical harnesses with the aid of expert staff. This is done in a room next to the infopoint, about 250 metres from the bridge. During the crossing the bridge offers points to admire the view and take pictures, making the experience even more memorable.

Reaching the end of the bridge

Once you are in Montesanto, visitors hand in their harnesses and can explore the medieval village. Depending on the season, there may be a shuttle bus to go back to Sellano.
